Dual Flush One Piece
There are many brands when it comes time to purchase a new toilet,
It would take alot of time to analyze every manufacturer and every brand,
So, let’s take a utilitarian view
What is a one piece dual flush?
Without sounding to profound, a one piece is a toilet with “one piece”, a two piece has the bottom bowl, and the top tank, the tank then needs to be connected to the bottom bowl  in the field,
Two challenges with a two piece,
1) If the giant nut and rubber washer used to connect the tank to the bowl is over torqued the top tank may crack,
2) if under tightened the tank may leak,
The one piece doesn’t have those challenges,
So what is a Dual Flush?
A dual flush has two flush options less water and more water….using the less water option for pee saves a little on the water bill,
The other benefit to the dual flush system is from an engineering perspective,
The side handle flush over time, through use, will fail by default, a dual flush is pushed down from the top eliminating the issues associated with the handle flush,
The side mount lever comes with a side mount arm, connected to a chain that constantly needs adjusting an eventually fails, then you can spend more money on a toilet repair kit, probably get frustrated trying to install it, and then having to call a plumber or handyman, and still have the same toilet,
You can pick one up at Lowes right now for $169,
that’s even ADA compliant (17″ high seat), making it much easier to get up and down as ones mobility decreases,
So, if your toilet has seen better days or it’s not ADA compliant, don’t hesitate, get er done!
