Which one to use?

I prefer Silver Vapor 3-in-1 Flooring Underlayment, especially when installing on top of a slab (1st floor)…

There’s a silver backing that reflects radiant heat, this will bounce the heat back into the room rather than into the slab,

What I like about it is, it holds it’s shape, it’s more dense than standard “blue” foam, it won’t compress which alows for greater comfort when walking on it due to it’s shock absorption.

Another Benefit….

Since it’s dense, it can span small imperfections in the floor unlike other products.

Installation,

It’s very user friendly,

1) Roll it out
2) cut it with a utility knife
3) peel the white plastic strip off the back exposing the adhesive and stick it to the edge of the previous piece row.

make sure your advevive strip faces towards you when rolling out your Silver Vapor

Don’t be alarmed,

It has a kind of tire smell when you roll it out but it disappears when the flooring goes over it.
