A Private Space for a Loved One

Many times a loved one needs to be on the first floor wile maintaining their privacy and dignity,

A great way to accomplish this is to create a temporary space that can be removed when the time is right,

One way this is accomplished, is to purchase tracks that are installed in the ceiling in which “drapery” hangs from, the drapery should be tall enough to go all the way to the floor (without touching)

Both can be purchased from Amazon (together)

Figure out how much space you need, the more one can give up, the better, your loved one will appreciate it!

Once the size is determined, locate the studs, with a stud finder, and mark with pencil,

The tracks can be installed with toggles or anchors, but securing in the ceiling/floor rafters is more secure,

You’ll also need to cut the tracks for a custom fit, one can use the provided hack saw that the product comes with, although a cut-off blade on a grinder will save lots of time, (wear safety goggles)

The tracks come with end caps that will give the ends of the tracks a more finished look, especially where the tracks are cut,

The long run track(s) can be butted up against the two shorter tracks, even using the end caps here can be used before butting to the shoter tracks, to give the cut end a more finished look,

Note****Make sure you add your drape hangers before the tracks are closed at the end,

In a recent installation, we had about 5-6″ of space left to fill, on the end of the shorter tracks, we had no rafters to connect to, so we added two toggle anchors to each side, this worked fine, the rest of our tracks were secured to the floor/ceiling rafters,
